Japanesy news!

hey minnasan, hope your having a spectacularly scary halloween with many a pumpkin!

tis news that I bring like the santa of joyous occassions....

The 13th Japanese Film Festival is coming to Melbourne! -it will screen 16 films this year from Thursday 3rd to Tuesday 8th of December,  including " The Chef of the South Pole", "The Homeless Student", "Kamui', etc.
One of the films "Summer Days with Coo" is specially screening Japanese learners at the special ticket ($7.00) I have no idea how you prove that you're a Japanese learner >.< lol.

Tickets on sale from Monday 9th November at ACMI online or the ACMI Tickets office.

i'm sure there will be enough of us motivated enough to organize some sort of group outing so just reply with a "hai hai i want to go" and maybe look at the film list and suggest what you would like to watch (^_^)

New Venue for today (if BBQ is cancelled)

Hey guys,

I know this is going to be very late notice. But due to the rainy weather and the forecast says it will rain until 7pm (IF the forecast is accurate :P),

our new venue is in Building 6 (Education building), Room 245 @ level 2.

So IF you do not see us at Japanese Studies Centre or if we decided to cancel the BBQ, we will move to building 6 and chill out and chat or something. :)

I have attached the map so you can get there by yourself.

Hope to see you soon.
